Helping people with disabilities or age-related challenges stay in their own homes.

Compassionate therapists and care team assistants work together to meet the emotional and some physical needs of older and challenged adults so they can maintain an independent way of life.

Providing protective care.

For special individuals who can no longer make sound decisions for themselves, Family Service offers services to protect them and their finances against abuse, neglect and exploitation.  Those services might include:

	substitute decision-making such as representative payeeship, power of attorney, health care representation or guardianship;
	individual and family counseling;
	case management and assistance in accessing resources;
	care team assistant services;
	consultation for people acting as or interested in becoming a guardian.

Note:  These services are not an appropriate substitute for assisted living or nursing home care.
